Joining BlogShares and Things We Found
We took some time to set up an account over at BlogShares.com and in so doing found some wonderful blogs that deserve attention. We'll be featuring some of those blogs in future articles but for now we are linking to them on the left hand side of our page.
If you haven't played BlogShares it's a lot of fun and you can get pretty creative with it. I'm still learning but have already climbed to the top of the newbie charts in just one day!
If only the money were real...
The rest of the site has been checked for SNAFU's and I realized that posting newsfeeds within a blogpost confuses most feedreaders. So from now on any javascript newsfeeds must be placed on there own web page and linked to.
I also tried my hand at a new CutePHP application for news and newsfeeds and so far it seems very easy to run. I'll link to it when it is ready for new members.

Blogshares is only fun for those who are favored by the staff. If you're disabled, middle-eastern, or have problems with english they will attack you on their forum.

@ 29.03.2007 01:48 CETI've been playing Blogshares for a few years now and its a great time. One part I particularly like is cleaning up the index and removing some older blogs that are listed but have since gone dead. Interesting stuff in there.
Sounds like Ruthann is part of the internet slander campaign by someone caught cheating.
The people that run the game are long time players who spend alot of time making the game fun and exciting. They are all volunteers so I really appreciate the time they put in.
I agree with RuthAnn and I was never found to be cheating. I quit the game 2 years ago. Nexy was making fun of a Portuguese players English. When I objected the others joined in and said it was only in fun.
If you want the real lowdown on racism at Blogshares ask GrawlinG. They dunked his head in their toilet.
it's just a game, but admins sit at top ranks by all means, not fun anymore !
